Pastoral Care
Both the Deacons and the Pastor serve together as a team to see to the pastoral care of the congregation. Those members of the church who would like a pastoral visit due to hospitalization, illness, injury, etc., should contact the church office directly (636-937-3019) and inform the secretary. The secretary will contact your Deacon who will reach out to you soon. If the pastoral need is an emergency or a major procedure/surgery is about to take place, the Pastor will be contacted. Anyone in the congregation seeking pastoral counseling should contact the Pastor directly to schedule an appointment. The Pastor is not always available for "drop in" visits.
Deacons
The Board of Deacons serves the particular Ministry of Compassion & Service here at Grace Presbyterian Church. Each family/person at the church is assigned a Deacon who is a source of pastoral care and support. The Deacons serve as the "front line" of Pastoral Care at Grace. The Deacons do follow-up visits with people in the hospital or in rehab, take extended communion to those in our local assisted living facilities/nursing homes and to those who are home-bound, organize food deliveries for church members who have been ill or hospitalized, oversee meals and ushering for funerals at the church, and participate in our healing and wholeness services by praying for and anointing people in need.
